Eddie and The Sting Rays raise $12,000 for Mental Health and Addictions Hub for Children and Youth

Over 430 people danced the night away last Saturday evening in a nostalgic night for both the
Stingrays and fans alike. The band paid tribute to former members of the band spanning the 39 years the group has been performing.

KDH Foundation sends a heartfelt thank you to the band for generously donating their time and talent to this fantastic night of entertainment. Proceeds from the event will support the development of a Child & Youth Mental Health and Addictions Health Hub in Kemptville.

The Foundation would also like to thank the many volunteers who helped to make this event a great success including Howard Godwin and Craig McCormick for leading ticket sales, Shawn Tobin and Eric Marcotte for security services, Doreen & Anthony O’Sullivan, Louise deValentine and Louise Mortimer for help at the door, Leslie Dods for help at the door and with setup, Sarah Maloney for silent auction support, Chrissy O’Riley, Wendy Glousher, Julie Summers and Heather Wells-Baker for drink sales. A special thank you goes out to Hart Laundry for the tablecloths and to the wonderful Kemptville Lions for providing excellent bar services.

Bob Windsor aka "Eddy" sent the following message. “On behalf of Eddy and the Stingrays, I would like to say thank you to the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation, as well as all of the volunteers who were involved for making this event such a huge success !! It was a great feeling to be able to help support our local hospital, and give back to the community. And to our fans, both old and new, your never-ending support means everything to us, thank each and every one of you as well !! We look forward to seeing all again throughout 2019 and 2020, as we celebrate our 39th and 40th years as Eddy and the Stingrays !! "
